Seahawks safety Jamal Adams slices hand slicing strawberries

Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams was seen with a larger wrap on his hand over the last few days that had a number of people wondering whether or not he had recently sustained some sort of injury.

Adams was held out of Wednesday’s mock game but coach Pete Carroll had an answer . . . one that no one had really been expecting.

“Jamal had a domestic accident,” Carroll said following the scrimmage. “He cut his finger slicing some strawberries and he hit his finger. He had to have a few stitches.”

Carroll didn’t really provide any sort of firm timeline for Adam’s return, except that he’ll need to wait to have his stitches removed.

“We kept him out not to make him have to use that thing, in case you were wondering,” Carroll continued. “So it’s a very minor situation. Easy for me to say . . . he almost cut his finger off.”

The Seahawks have an off day Thursday but return to the practice field at the VMAC on Friday.
