Seahawks bring back fullback Nick Bellore, add 2 to practice squad

The Seattle Seahawks made a series of roster moves just before practice on Monday afternoon, including signing fullback Nick Bellore. The team waived linebacker Austin Calitro to make room, a move that had been reported earlier in the day.

Additionally, the team also confirmed two of the practice squad signings that had been previously reported, offensive lineman Kyle Fuller and defensive end Jachai Polite.

Bellore spent training camp and the preseason with the Seahawks, and it was expected he would be brought back after getting released on Saturday.

Bellore is an eight-year NFL veteran who spent his first six seasons as a linebacker before transitioning to fullback in 2017.

Calitro appeared in all 16 games for the Seahawks last season, but a roster crunch at linebacker made him expendable.

Fuller was drafted by the Texans in the seventh round in 2017 and started two games for them. He has played both guard and center in his NFL career, and gives Seattle much needed depth and versatility along the offensive line.

Polite was considered a potential first round pick this year, even getting mocked to the Seahawks. He ended up falling into the third round and was picked by the Jets, but a series of attitude issues and underperformance led to him getting cut.

He’ll give Seattle another potentially dangerous pass rushing threat.
