A Scouse 91-year-old welcomes people from across the globe to her home and city.
Dennis Cliffe, who works for City Explorer Liverpool, often takes tourists to Paul McCartney's old childhood home at 20 Forthlin Road in Allerton as part of the Beatles tours. Since working for the company Dennis has gotten to know Dot, 91, who lives nearby.
He said Dot allows the drivers to park their buses outside her house twice a day while tourists get on and off the bus and visit the famous landmark.

Speaking to the ECHO, Dennis said: "As you can appreciate living so close to a tourist attraction there are hundreds of visitors turning up outside her house each day. She had advised us that she doesn't have a car and that she was happy for us to park outside her house and on one occasion even allowed someone to use her toilet."
Dennis said Dot is a true "Scouse lady" and all the passengers who meet her love her. He added the drivers "all love her" and they have "adopted her as our nan". He said: "Dot is welcoming all the tourists from across the world to our city".
The bus driver said Dot also supports cancer charities close to her heart and knits items to raise vital funds for the causes. Dennis said on several occasions these have been bought by tourists she has stopped and chatted to.
He told the ECHO: "In my eyes she is a true inspiration to our city, a 91-year-old Scouse lady living on her own and welcoming people from around the world into our city and at the same time raising funds for a charity so close to her heart."
