Scottish estate look for butler to earn £60k a year and live in terraced apartment

By Sian Traynor

If you've been looking to escape Edinburgh and run for the Highlands, then you should know a new job has just been listed that might be just the ticket.

Located north of Inverness, the owners of a private and luxury estate have shared they are searching for a new butler that could keep things running while they're away.

Mainly living overseas, the owners are said to only frequent their impressive Scottish property a few times a year, with family and friends also using it for holidays.

However, mostly lying empty, the family are hoping to find a butler who could embrace the secluded lifestyle and wouldn't mind spending time alone.

Although it might seem a little lonely, the perks of the role more than make up for it, with an advertised salary of £60,000 per year for the lucky candidate.

In addition, the butler would live-on site in a one-bedroom apartment that even has it's own terrace.

Required to perform butler duties for the principles and their guests, the candidate would also maintain the property, take on cleaning and housekeeping tasks and help the gardener.

Advertised by Greycoat Lumley's an advert states:

"Greycoat Lumley's client are seeking an experienced Butler for their Private Estate North of Inverness. The Principals live overseas and therefore visit the property several times a year and their friends and family can also stay for a holiday.
