Scottish contestant on The Chase takes home jackpot after he makes bold move

A Scottish contestant on ITV's The Chase took home a whopping jackpot after beating The Sinnerman.

Subsea inspection engineer from Aberdeen, Dougie, took part in the show admitting he would buy a motorbike if he won.

The 36-year-old was the first one to step up to the chaser with a respectable start with the cash builder, banking £4,000. He then went on to accept Paul Sinha's high offer of £28,000.

The Daily Record reports, the rig worker strolled through to the final chase, but only another two contestants Rosy and Richard made it back to the table to join him.

Together built up an impressive £43,000 and opted for the question set B in the final chase. With a head full of general knowledge, Dougie answered the majority of the 18 questions correctly while the Sinnerman stumbled on a few questions.

With the pushbacks, the trio secured the jackpot.

Dougie, Rosy, and Richard split the amount between them meaning they took home £14,333.33 each.

A new motorbike, a wedding, and a trip to the Philippines are on the cards for the worthy winners.
