Scott Wright pictured in Rangers training amid Pendikspor transfer uncertainty

Scott Wright has been pictured back in Rangers training amid uncertainty over his future.

The midfielder spoke to Sky Sports cameras last week at Glasgow Airport as he jetted out for meetings with Turkish outfit Pendikspor.

It remains to be seen if Wright will move to the Super Lig side, but for now he is back training with Michael Beale's Ibrox side.

The Rangers manager will likely be quizzed on Wright's future as the Glasgow giants take on Olympiacos tomorrow.

The former Aberdeen man has struggled for consistent game time since Beale took over as manager and he now exploring his options for a move.

Speaking to Sky Sports Scotland, Wright said: "It gives me a chance to go and play regular football. I had some conversations with Michael Beale just to try and play a wee bit more and we came to the conclusion that it's maybe best for me to move on. The club has obviously agreed a fee and I'll go out and have a look and see what I think.

"Is it a step into the unknown? Yeah definitely. You've always got to test yourself. It's an opportunity that excites me and one I'm looking forward to looking into. There are plenty of options that I need to way up and it's a decision that I'm going to have to make with my family and my wife, but one I'm looking forward to and see what's out there for me and make that decision."

On his lack of game time at Ibrox, Wright added: "Yeah, it's always tough. I don't want to make excuses for myself but it's a fantastic squad at Rangers and I wish them the best. Michael Beale is building a fantastic squad and we'll see what happens.

"I have absolutely no regrets. I've absolutely loved my time there and Rangers will always have a special place in my heart. I achieved some things there that I dreamt of when I was growing up; playing in the Champions League, the Europa League and obviously winning the Scottish Cup and league was fantastic for myself. So no absolutely regrets."

Michael Beale explained last week: “Scotty this summer has had one or two enquiries. He’s at an age where he wants to go and play regularly.

“I can’t guarantee that – he’ll have to fight for his minutes like everyone else here.

“I’m not willing to guarantee anyone that they’re going to play and I think he’s at an age where he’s good enough to play and he probably feels that he’s spent a lot of time here trying to get into the team.

“We’re off on Wednesday which gives him a chance to speak to one or two people and maybe make some decisions for himself. But there’s nothing guaranteed on that one.”
