Scott Arfield is set for a post-Rangers move to the MLS, according to a report.
The Daily Mail state that the 34-year-old will sign for Charlotte FC after agreeing a two-year deal in a move that will see him reunited with his former Burnley team-mate Ashley Westwood.
The veteran was one of five Light Blues players to not have their contract renewed and allowed to move on for free. Michael Beale admitted the decision over Arfield pulled at the heartstrings but in the end the final call made was best for both the player and the club.

Now, he looks set for a new challenge with the North Carolina side with the midfielder expected to jet out to the USA over the weekend to undergo a medical and complete the formalities of his move as he gets set for life after Rangers.
Arfield helped the Ibrox men lift the Scottish Premiership crown under Steven Gerrard and end Celtic's hopes of landing ten-in-a-row back in 2021. He also won the Scottish Cup during his time in Govan and helped them reach the Europa League Final before a heartbreaking defeat to Frankfurt in Seville.
He featured 43 times in all competitions this season - mainly from the bench - for Rangers in what was his final campaign netting nine goals in the process including an incredible injury-time double to turn defeat into a win against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
The midfielder also netted a Champions League goal against Liverpool at Ibrox.
