Scotland is set for a heatwave this week which has led to shoppers sharing their go-to products to cool down.
The feeling of missing out on a summer holiday has loads of us making the most of days off in the sun, at the beach and out with friends and family.
But there is the challenge of striking a balance between summer fun and summer heatstroke and doing so without spending a fortune- luckily bargain shoppers know what to look for.
Everything from blow-up pools for kids, nighttime cool mats and slushies have been on the shopping lists of hot Scots who have been sharing their tips.
Original Slush Puppie
Frozen drinks have been a hit with kids and adults and these ones cost 89p from home bargains.
The home version of Slush Puppies can be frozen in the freezer and after a picture was posted on social media more than two hundred people commented.
One shopper said: "Has anyone else tried these from home bargains, only 89p and wow they are gorgeous"
More than one person said they mixed theirs with a spirit to make a summer cocktail.
A grandmother said: “My grandkids love them. thinking of putting vodka in next time for me, not grandkids."
One comment said: "I have the cherry one and mix it with disaronno"
Another person said: "Pop them in the freezer then later add vodka for an alcohol slushie"
Pools
Pools have been a huge hit this summer with families opting for big pools to fill their gardens and keep the family entertained and cool.
Jumbo pool in Aldi Kidsgrove was a very popular option at £12.99.
One person said: "Jumbo swimming pool at Aldi for 12.99 there is also a hexagon one, can’t complain for the kids"
“The best thing I ever found in Aldi only cost 12.99” said another.
Someone else bought the Summer Waves 12ft Metal Frame Pool from Aldi for £89.99 and said it made up for missing a holiday.
They said” Pic doesn’t do it justice and it’s not filled yet but this is the 12ft pool I’ve built this evening, my girls are so excited and good weathers on it way.

Cool mat
Cool mats are great for the whole family including the dog.
They act as a cooling surface to snooze on so they are great for nighttime or for pooches who struggle in the heat.
One shopper bought a mat from Aldi for £5 and alongside a pic of the product in her bed, said: "Aldi seriously needs to do the pet cooling mats in human sizes! We're fighting over it lol"
Another said: "This Cooling Mat is ideal for Summer evenings, just £2.99 in Home Bargains."
You can currently buy a 2-In-1 Cooling/Warming Pet Mattress from Aldi for £24.99 that will last during the winter months too.
Baby fans
Keeping babies cool on summer walks was high on the list of priorities for one shopper who shared a bargain purchase from Home Bargains.
She said: "Pure Baby Clip-On Stroller Fan, £3.49 in Home Bargains."
Another person said: "Got it in b@m a few weeks ago £2.50 as there discontinuing them in our store"
"Aldi have them for 2.99 x" said another Mum.
Anti-chafing
Chafing is a common and dreaded side effect of being in the sun so lots of shoppers recommended anti-chafing or ‘chub-rub’ products.
"Chub rubbers bargain" said one shopper who shared an image of XCB Liquid Talc that normally sells for £6.99 but was on sale for 99p at Asda.
Comments on the post said some found similar products for as cheap as 69p in Aldi.
