A South Lanarkshire Morrisons’ has set up a rail of free children’s jackets for kids struggling to keep warm during winter.
The rack of coats was set up at a store in Cambuslang, along with a sign inviting parents to take home the garments as needed.
The initiative was set up on Monday by Morrisons ’ community champion, Nicola O’Brien, who has since been praised online for her efforts.

The 38-year-old began the scheme using leftovers from a Christmas donation drive.
She explained: "I started it off with donations left over from my Christmas appeal that I do every year and I'm keeping it going as its been a great success.
"I started it on Monday and by Tuesday afternoon the rail was empty.
"We plan to replenish it, we are solely relying on donations.
"The customers are always great at helping."
Photos of the available jackets were posted later posted on Twitter with social media users raving over the idea.
The images show the warm clothing hanging on a rail near the entrance of the store.
They are offered with a sign that reads: “Winter jackets for kids that need one.
“From your community champion #Communitymatters.”
The kind hearted gesture has blown away social media users.
One user wrote: “What a great thing by the community to donate them and well done Morrisons for making sure they are clean. Brilliant.”
Another added her praise for Nicola, saying: “This is all down to the amazing community champion who works in said Morrisons.
“She has done so much for the G72 area and always goes above and beyond.”
And one person said: “What a fantastic thing to do, hope a few kids get a cosy jacket, so sad in 2021.”
According to Morrisons, each of their stores has an employee like Nicola who works to raise awareness and funds for their chosen charities.
The volunteer role is conducted alongside work, and can be used to support local or national causes.
