Scots family's car seized by English cops as they holiday down south with no tax

Cops seized a Scots family's car for having no tax while they holidayed over the border.

Dorset Police's No Excuse team, which tackles road safety, was on patrol when officers pulled over a black Vauxhall car.

The car belonged to a Scottish family that had been holidaying in Dorset - but the trip was about to take a turn.

Police busted the driver for having no tax on the vehicle since November last year.

The car was instantly seized and the driver was reported to the DVLA.

A spokesman said: "We were asked to assist traffic out in the west of the county.

"We stopped the black Vauxhall with a family on holiday from Scotland.

"No tax since November last year. Vehicle seized and driver reported to the DVLA."
