A Scots bride was left starstruck at her wedding when a very special guest showed up at the same venue.
Tracy Rintoul's big day was already fast becoming the best of her life when news spread that none-other than was bowling with his pals at an ally next door.
The 48-year-old ran through to meet and take snaps with the singer as he smashed strikes at Deer Park Country Golf Course lanes in Livingston when her pal spotted him just after the first dance.
And it wasn't long before the rest of the guests starting lining up to have their picture taken with 'America's Sweetheart'.
In typical Capaldi style, the Whitburn lad gladly took time out of his evening to greet adoring fans.
Tracy, from West Lothian, told the Daily Record: "He was an absolute gentleman and stopped his game for well over an hour to chat with everyone.
"I told everyone at the wedding as soon as I knew. There was a sea of people who ran through to see him. There must have been at least 40 or 50 of us!
"He congratulated me and told me I looked nice, but also had a different chat with everyone.
"At first I thought my pal was kidding , but it was the highlight of my day!"
Tracy and husband Steven tied the knot in spectacular fashion surrounded by family and friends at the golf club on Friday October 25.
The full-time carers and their two daughters had an "absolutely brilliant" day, even before meeting the Scots superstar.
Groom Steven, 41, was equally starstruck and managed to grab a picture with Capaldi and his brother.
And thankfully he wasn't put out at having to share his blushing bride with the Someone You Loved star and has happily framed a picture of Lewis alongside him and his new bride cutting their cake.
Tracy added: "The photo takes pride of place in the living room!
"I am so grateful to Lewis for taking the time out to speak to all of us and for being such a good guy, it really made our day!"
