Man who vanished on Monday afternoon found by cops

Police are searching for a man who disappeared on Monday afternoon. Andrew Mackenzie was last seen in Westburn Road, Aberdeen, at around 1pm.

The force said officers are "currently concerned" for the 54-year-old, who is described as white, 6 foot tall, of broad build, with short grey hair.

He was wearing a grey jumper and black jogging-style trousers. when he was las seen, but is now clean shaven, no longer sporting the beard he had when the photo was taken.

As part of the investigation, officers are searching the area around Westburn Road, Foresterhill Road and North Anderson Drive and also checking local CCTV.

Police are also checking with local taxi and bus companies in an effort to trace him and asking people have a look for him in the area.

A post on the North East Police Division Facebook page said: "Police are currently concerned for the whereabouts of Andrew Mackenzie, 54, who was last seen in Westburn Road, Aberdeen, around 1 pm today, Monday, 2 January 2023.

"If you have any information as to his whereabouts, please call police via 101 quoting reference number 1576 of 2 January 2023."

Police later confirmed Andrew had been found safe and well.
