SEVERAL key ScotRail routes are set for major disruption over the next two days.
Engineering work is being carried out between Glasgow Queen Street and Polmont, closing all lines via Lenzie.
This means a number of services will be diverted to other stations, while replacement buses are also being put in place.
Disruption is affecting the following services:
- ScotRail between Glasgow Queen Street and Cumbernauld / Edinburgh (via Lenzie) / Stirling / Alloa / Perth / Aberdeen / Elgin / Inverness
Here's everything you need to know.
ScotRail disruption today (Sunday, July 5)
Glasgow Queen Street – Aberdeen / Inverness / Elgin
- Trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling will be diverted to run via Cumbernauld.
Glasgow Queen Street – Edinburgh (via Falkirk High)
- Trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Polmont will be diverted to run via Falkirk Grahamston and Cumbernauld.
- Trains will also call at Falkirk Grahamston and Cumbernauld.
- Trains will not call at Croy or Falkirk High. For Falkirk High, you should use Falkirk Grahamston instead.
Glasgow Queen Street – Stirling / Alloa
- Trains will run between Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling via Cumbernauld.
- Trains won't call at Bishopbriggs, Lenzie or Croy.
- A shuttle train service will run between Stirling and Alloa only.
Glasgow Queen Street – Cumbernauld
- Trains are extended to run between Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling.
The following replacement buses will run:
- Glasgow Queen Street – Bishopbriggs – Lenzie – Croy – Cumbernauld (approximately hourly frequency all day, connecting with trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling / Edinburgh).
- Croy – Cumbernauld (start / end of day only, connecting with trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh).
ScotRail disruption tomorrow (Monday, July 6)
Glasgow Queen Street – Aberdeen / Inverness / Elgin
- Trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Stirling will be diverted to run via Cumbernauld.
Glasgow Queen Street – Edinburgh (via Falkirk High)
- A half hourly train service will run all day between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh.
- Trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Polmont will be diverted to run via Falkirk Grahamston / Cumbernauld.
- Trains will also call at Falkirk Grahamston, Camelon and Cumbernauld.
- Trains won't call at Croy or Falkirk High. For Falkirk High, use Falkirk Grahamston instead.
Glasgow Queen Street – Stirling, Perth / Dundee
- An hourly, all-stop train service operates between Glasgow Queen Street, Stirling, Perth / Dundee until early evening.
- From 8pm until close of service, trains operate between Glasgow and Stirling.
- A separate train service operates half hourly all day between Stirling and Alloa only.
- Due to infrastructure limitations, diesel services will not call at Robroyston.
The following replacement buses will be in place:
- Glasgow Queen Street – Bishopbriggs – Lenzie – Croy – Cumbernauld.(approximately hourly all day, connecting with Glasgow Queen Street - Stirling or Edinburgh trains).
- Croy – Cumbernauld (hourly from 06:30 – 09:30 and 15:30 – 18:30, connecting with Glasgow Queen Street - Edinburgh trains).
- Robroyston and Stepps.
