Scotland’s most unique restaurant with rooms offers chance to eat fine dining in 13th century castle

Fancy living like royalty while eating like a king or queen in a stunning Scottish castle in one of the country's most remote and beautiful locations?

Well then, a stay at one of Scotland’s most unique restaurants with rooms, Mingary Castle could be the answer.

Perched on a picturesque clifftop on the fringes of the west coast of Scotland in Ardnamurchan Estate, the 13th-century castle boasts sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean from its original battlements.

Closely linked to the MacDonald clan of Ardnamurchan, it was heavily involved in the power struggles between the Scottish Crown and the Lord of the Isles.

In its time, the castle has witnessed Viking sieges, clan warfare, royal visits and assassinations.
