An award-winning Ayrshire takeaway has been crowned the best in Scotland.
Zain's Curry House in Dalry was bestowed with the honour at the prestigious Food Awards Scotland 2022 on Monday evening.
The popular eaterie — no stranger to accolades — was also the South West Regional takeaway winner, making it a dream double on the night.
Bosses revealed their delight at the news on Zain's Facebook page.
A post read: "Wow! We just can't believe it.
"It’s been a tough time these past few years with the pandemic and cost of living going up. We appreciate our customers so much for supporting us through all of this. We wouldn’t be here without you all.
"We love our customers. Thank you so much for everyone who voted and we are gobsmacked by the reaction we have received in these past few years! All down to having amazing customers who keep us all going!
"Also we would like to praise all of our staff, from the chefs to the cleaning staff to the drivers. You guys are all part of the success, you guys make the business thrive more with your hard work and dedication. So a massive thank you to all the team!"
It's the latest in a list of successes for Zain's. Last year the business was named south-west takeaway of the year at the 13th Scottish Curry Awards.
And they are in the running for yet another industry gong after being shortlisted in this year’s Asian Restaurant awards (Scotland).
