Roberto Martinez's agent has confirmed the ex-Portugal manager is in talks with 'several interested parties' after the Netherlands made a move to appoint the reported Scotland boss target.
The former Motherwell midfielder has been linked with replacing Steve Clarke as Scotland boss after he quit Portugal following their World Cup failure this summer.
But the Dutch have made a surprise move to appoint the former Belgium boss and make him the first foreign manager of the Netherlands since Austrian coach Ernst Happel guided them to the World Cup Final in 1978.
However, Martinez's lawyer, Jesse De Prete, has hinted the financial package could scare off the Netherlands and other interested nations too. He said: "On behalf of Roberto, I am currently holding talks with several interested parties.

"There is no rush. We are calmly assessing the situation. To date, no direct conversation has taken place between Roberto and the KNVB. If the KNVB technical director, Nigel de Jong calls, we will enter into discussions.
"But traditionally, the KNVB opts for a Dutch coach, and financially, I suspect that expectations are very far apart.
"I don't see how this can become a deal."
