New research has revealed the best reviewed five-star hotels in the UK for a mini-break in 2023, with a Scottish hotel included in the top 10.
The study, conducted by luggage storage site Bounce, analysed hotels across the UK and Ireland based on their customer reviews. It was found that Milestone Hotel Kensington in London had the highest number of 'very good' and 'excellent' reviews, with 98.02 per cent.
Following behind in second place is Glencoe House in the Scottish Highlands. According to Bounce, 97.97 per cent of the hotel's reviews are either very good or excellent.
Built in the late 1890s, Glencoe House is a mansion house located in the iconic Glencoe Glen. With stunning scenery for miles, it offers the perfect escape for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.
According to the Glencoe House website, one or two-bedroom suites are available, all of which boast opulent bathrooms and sizeable sitting rooms. The rooms also include impressive period features, while some even come with private hot tubs.
Guests have the option of dining privately in their own suite, from full Scottish breakfasts in the morning to intimate candlelit dinners at night. Chefs at Glencoe House serve up seasonal and locally sourced five-course meals that can all be enjoyed from the comfort of your own suite.
Another key feature of the hotel is the Great Hall. This grand and luxurious room greets guests when they first walk in, and sets the tone for their stay with original period features including a marble fireplace.
Other hotels featured in the top 10 include Marrion Hotel in Dublin, The Goring Hotel in London, and Palé Hall in Gwynedd.
