A Scot is on the hunt for a mysterious author who penned a love letter found in an Edinburgh bus stop.
The letter is signed only with the letter 'C' and contains no real indicators of who or where the author is from.
Nuri Vinova, 25, discover the handwritten note seven years ago and it has helped them through some tough times, reports Edinburgh Live.
Nuri said they were at a party with some friends in Dalry when they went for a walk.
“I was 18 at the time. I lived in a flat nearby, and had some friends over for a drink," Nuri explained.
"One of them had to get a bus home at that point, and the rest of us wanted to buy more alcohol, so we all went on a walk down Dalry Road.
“We got to the first bus stop we came across, I believe opposite the Co-op, and that's where we found the letter. It was tucked into the edge of the display where the timetable is.
“I, being the sentimental weirdo I am, was intrigued, so I took it back to the flat.
“When I first read it, I didn't think much of it, it just seemed like a cool thing to keep for memory's sake, so it ended up just staying with me.
“I'd find it now and then, while looking for something else, and read it again. It's always found a way of taking on some kind of meaning to me.
"Whether dealing with a breakup, losing a friend, having a hard time with my mental health, it's always found a way of making me feel a little bit better. Now it's one of my most treasured belongings.”
The letter
The envelope is marked ‘Love letter to a stranger’ and the letter inside reads as follows:
My dearest beloved,
Never forget the universe and the light of the stars comes through you
You are billion year old star dust
You are the comet that tears fearlessly through the night sky,
We look up and see the truth,
The constant transformation.
And we fear.

Be prepared for the brilliance of your love.
