Schoolboy goes missing prompting police appeal with people urged to check garages and sheds

Police are searching for a 12-year-old boy who has been reported as missing from his home in Llanelli. The child, named by police only as Alfie, is described as about 5ft tall with long dark hair. Officers believe he may be wearing burgundy/red trousers or jeans with a white T-shirt and black shoes.

The last contact with Alfie was at 6.15pm on Tuesday, January 31. Officers are asking Llanelli residents to check their outbuildings, such as garages and sheds, in case Alfie has sought shelter. A statement from Dyfed-Powys Police on Wednesday said: "We are also asking the public to check and review their private CCTV cameras, Ring video doorbells, GoPros, dashcam footage, or any other source of video imagery that may capture Alfie in and around the Havelock Park, Havelock Street, Ropewalk Road, Trinity Road, and New Dock Road areas of Llanelli last night or today.

"Anyone who has seen Alfie, or knows of his whereabouts, is asked to report it to Dyfed-Powys Police either online at https://bit.ly/DPP101Online, by emailing 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, or by calling 101. If you are deaf, hard of hearing, or speech-impaired text the non-emergency number on 07811 311 908. Quote reference: DP-20230131-391."
