Scarlett Moffatt 'doesn't believe' 1969 moon landing actually happened

Scarlett Moffatt has revealed she doesn't believe the 1969 moon landing actually happened.

The former I'm A Celebrity winner appeared on Lorraine on Wednesday and spoke to stand-in host Christine Lampard about her successful podcast Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe, which saw her collaborate with boyfriend Scott Dobinson to entertain plenty of listeners during lockdown.

But one thing she definitely doesn't believe in is humans going to the moon. Scarlett told a shocked Christine: "So I don't believe we've been to the moon...I know... controversial! But I just can't believe that we've been there.

"And then I find it really hypocritical because people are like 'of course we've been there!' then they on't believe in UFOs.

"It's like how can you believe that we got in a little spaceship and went all the way to the moon but you can't believe that aliens have visited our planet?!"

Her theory seemed to change Christine's mind as she quipped: "It's a good point actually. I'm not going to argue with you there."

But viewers at home weren't as convinced, with one tweeting: "If we haven’t been to the moon how do you explain the photos and videos of astronauts bouncing around in zero gravity with Earth in the background in 60s when ve were not all that," and another reacting: "You do know there was a space race to the moon with Russia don't you? Russia tracked the Americans all the way and back and conceded defeat. Lets not forget all the hundreds of thousands of people involved over 50 years keeping it 'secret'."

Another viewer asked to be on her podcast, tweeting: "WHAT !? DIDN’T GO TO THE MOON! GET ME ON YOUR PODCAST!"

Scarlett admits she's a huge conspiracy theory fan, with another one being that Paul McCartney was replaced years ago and she also believes she was abducted by aliens at the age of 10.
