Scared of flying? How to conquer your fear before lockdown ends and you can go on holiday again

With flights grounded and international travel out of the question for the time being, it's going to be a while before we're packing our suitcases again.

But that doesn't stop us dreaming of a holiday once lockdown is over and we can safely go away again.

For many people, flying can be a frightening ordeal though.

If that's you - but you're still eager to explore the world - help is at hand.

You can use your time at home to start to tackle your fears with EasyJet's free Fearless Flyer webinar.

The workshop, led by phobia expert Lawrence Leyton, covers claustrophobia, panic attacks and commons fears such as heights and turbulence.

If you find it helpful, there's also an online course you can take, priced at £89, with two hours of modules you can watch at your own pace for up to 30 days.

It features material from the full live course, which typically includes a senior easyJet captain talking through the technical side of aviation, before coaching on coping techniques and strategies from Lawrence.

The full course also includes a one-hour 'experience flight' where you can put what you've learned into practice with the support of the crew - but that's of course had to be halted for now.

Instead, online learners will receive a Fearless Flyer MP3 player with a reassuring captain's commentary to play during take-off, landing and any turbulence, once flights recommence.
