If you are planning to buy Saros at launch, there are currently only two editions available to pre-order. Housemarque’s next single-player action game releases on April 30, 2026, for PS5, with two digital editions available on PlayStation Store: Standard and Digital Deluxe. The game is also enhanced for PS5 Pro.
What is Saros?
Saros is Housemarque’s next major game after Returnal. It is set on the hostile planet Carcosa, where players control Arjun Devraj, a Soltari Enforcer searching through a lost off-world colony under an eclipse.
It’s a single-player cinematic action game that expands on the Returnal concept by adding more characters, a more traditional narrative, hub-based runs, and combat against hostile alien life.
The game was initially supposed to come out in March, but the team took an additional month to make some final adjustments and polish.

Saros release date
Saros is scheduled to launch on April 30, 2026. Players who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition get a 48-hour early access, which makes the game available on April 28, depending on the region.
Saros pre-order bonus
Pre-ordering either edition gives you the Hands of Shore Armor. The armor is based on another PlayStation exclusive – Death Stranding 2.

It’s unknown if the pre-order exclusive armor will become available as a separate purchase in the future.
All Saros editions
The Standard Edition includes the base game and the pre-order bonus. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the base game, the same Hands of Shore Armor pre-order bonus, 48-hour early access, and three extra Enforcer suits inspired by further PlayStation games: Returnal, Ghost of Yōtei, and God of War. Those three suits are Astra, Onryo, and Midgard.
The Standard Edition is listed at $69.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $79.99. The difference between the editions that makes up the $10 is the inclusion of the additional armor sets and 48-hour early access.
Which Saros edition should you buy?
The Standard Edition is enough if you only care about playing Saros at launch and getting the shared pre-order armor. The Digital Deluxe Edition is the better fit if you want to start two days early and care about the extra cosmetic suits.
At this point, Sony and Housemarque haven’t announced any Collector’s Editions, but those could come at a later date.
