Samsung Unpacked Live 2025: How to watch and what to expect

Samsung is preparing to reveal a fresh line-up of smartphones and new tech, including foldable phones, new wearables, and more.

Samsung Unpacked is the annual event where the tech brand lays out its plans for the year ahead and beyond.

While nothing has been confirmed yet, rumours are already swirling that we should get news of a new smartphone generation, wearable tech for your wrist, and even a new double-hinged foldable.

What to expect from Samsung Unpacked 2025

Samsung is not slowing down with its focus on foldable devices, with the tech brand expected to unveil no less than three new foldable handsets: Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE – the brand’s new budget-friendly option.

Some animation files reported via Android Authority also suggest that a new Galaxy device could be on the way, featuring dual, inward-folding hinges.

This would be the first double-folding phone from Samsung, seemingly titled the “Multifold7” – although that’s likely not the final name.

Other new smartphone updates, as reported by reliable leaker Roland Quandt on Bluesky, include new features for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, such as a 6.5-inch exterior screen, as well as an interior one that unfolds to eight inches.

Its folding function works like a book and is said to be Samsung’s thinnest yet, at just 4.2mm thick when unfolded or 8.9mm when folded up.

Those smartphones can be paired with a fresh generation of Galaxy Watches, and the possible tease or announcement of a double-hinged Galaxy foldable, a first for Samsung.

There are also rumblings that a new suite of AI features will be unveiled, although the details of this are sparse for now.

How to watch Samsung Unpacked

Taking place on Wednesday, July 9 at 3pm in the UK (10AM ET / 7am PT), Samsung Unpacked will be available to watch live on YouTube or via Samsung’s newsroom.

If you’re sure you’re going to love whatever the company reveals, Samsung has already opened up the option to register interest for whatever it announces, as well as the chance to enter a giveaway.
