Outlander star Sam Heughan delighted die-hard fans of the show with a festive book signing in Glasgow on Sunday.
The 42-year-old star, who has built a cult following with his performances as Jamie Fraser in the Starz drama, appeared in Waterstones on Sauchiehall Street on Sunday afternoon to meet some of his biggest admirers.
Heughan was publicising his latest book, Waypoints - My Scottish Journey, with dozens making their way into the city centre to get a glimpse of the actor, who was rumoured to be in the running to be the next James Bond.
The new book is a combination of a memoir and travel writing which explores Heughan's heritage, career and his journey travelling across the West Highland Way.
"Whilst I was doing the walk, I realised it was a great place for me to reflect and to look back on my career so far," he told STV.
"This was cathartic, almost a bit like therapy, just to reflect on my career. It’s been an amazing journey to get here.
"I feel very fortunate for my day job - Outlander and the other projects - but the journey to get there wasn’t easy and I guess sometimes maybe people don’t know the full story, so it was nice to share that."
Heughan is expected to reprise in season 7 of Outlander - which follows former Second World War military nurse Claire Randall who travels back from 1945 to 1743 where she encounters, falls in love with, and marries Highland warrior Jamie Fraser.
A release date is yet to be announced but fans are hopeful of some news in 2023.
