Sainsbury's shoppers 'grossed out' by new 'healthy' £1 Easter snack

Sainsbury's shoppers have been left divided with the supermarket's latest Easter treat after images of the seasonal snack were shared on social media.

Customers have flocked to have their say about the product - which on first appearance seems completely normal, however this is no regular carrot and houmous snack.

Sainsbury's On the Go Easter Bunny Snack is made up of carrot batons and a dip made from cooked chickpeas, golden syrup, sesame seed paste, cocoa powder and concentrated lemon juice - and shoppers could not be more split on whether it's genius or 'the worst thing they've ever seen'.

Sharing it on Snacks News and Reviews, one customer wrote: "Just throw the whole world in the bin and be done. You've taken it too far."

One foodie commented that £1 snack, which can also be included as part of Sainbury's £3.50 meal deal, 'sounds horrible'.

Another shopper added: "I'm not sure about this. but will try it before I pass judgement!"

"I rather eat wheat thins with garlic roasted hummus," said Crystal.

Despite this, the product has racked up hundreds of likes and replies - so maybe that's job done.
