Sadio Mane 'wanted' by two huge European clubs as Liverpool 'on verge' of Calvin Ramsay transfer

The end of the 2021/22 season is almost upon us.

It has certainly been a campaign to remember for Jurgen Klopp and his players, whose quadruple hopes remain alive with only 18 days remaining before their final fixture of this term. Once this hectic period has been negotiated, attention will soon turn to sustaining this success and who the club may need to recruit and offload to make that happen.

Manchester City have already sent out a statement of intent ahead of the 2022/23 this season as they close in on a deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, though the Reds will fancy their chances of pushing Pep Guardiola's side all the way regardless.

We have rounded up the latest Liverpool rumours as transfer talk begins to intensify, which can be found below.

Who?

Calvin Ramsay.

Where?

Daily Record.

What?

Liverpool are reportedly 'on the verge' of striking a deal for Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay, in a deal that could rise to £6million with add-ons included.

The report adds that the Scottish Premiership side are 'resigned' to losing their young star, who is also being chased by Leeds United and several other sides in England and in Italy. Leeds United made an attempt to sign the Scot during the January transfer window, though were unsuccessful in their efforts.

Ramsay would offer a possible rotation option for Trent Alexander-Arnold and could spell the end of Neco Williams' time at the club, despite making a positive impression while on loan at Fulham.

Who?

Sadio Mane.

Where?

Mundo Deportivo.

What?

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is being linked with a summer switch to Barcelona. Bayern Munich emerged as potential contenders to sign the Reds' forward yesterday afternoon and now another top European side are being credited with interest.

A report by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo has claimed Mane is 'on the list' of possible reinforcements for Xavi and is regarded as a 'real option' for the side. They add that, should he be allowed to leave Liverpool, the Senegal international would likely follow his 'dream'' of featuring in La Liga.

The Catalan club are said to be aware of Mane's ‘intention’ and their coaches view him as a ‘top player’. Out of contract at Anfield next summer, the Reds are yet to agree an extension with the 30-year-old and are running the risk of losing him on a free transfer.

Who?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Where?

Daily Mail.

What?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is rumoured to be 'fearful' of his Anfield future after going two months without representing the Reds and hearing no news of a potential new contract.

The former Arsenal man has watched on as key members of the squad have penned new deals within the last year, though he is set to walk away from the club next summer on a free transfer unless new terms can be agreed or he is sold before then.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has started nine Premier League matches this season for Klopp's side, turning out 29 times in all competitions.
