S Club's Rachel Stevens angrily denies ex-fiance's claim she had a fling and says it's 'absolute lies'

Rachel Stevens has denied claims from her ex-fiance that she cheated on him during their relationship and labelled them "absolute lies".

The S Club 7 singer was previously engaged to former Hollyoaks star Jeremy Edwards for a year. Despite the pair being engaged from 2002 to 2003, Jeremy suggested that her new relationship makes him think that she cheated on him.

It comes after reports emerged that she was dating former Dancing on Ice skating partner Brendyn Hatfield following her split from former husband Alex Bourne last year. It is understood the pair met towards the end of 2021 when they were put together for the ITV competition, the Mirror reports.

While it was suggested they formed a friendship while training for the competition, there was no indication they were romantically involved until after Rachel's split. Jeremy has now come out and said the new situation has made him question his own relationship with Rachel.

"Since this story came up, it’s brought all this up again. And I've thought about it more, I've thought about our relationship, and I think she did have a fling," he said in a new interview. Jeremy added that he would have been uncomfortable if she had gone on Dancing On Ice during their relationship.

"I would never in a million years have thought she would do something like this. But because of the story that has come out, it just makes me question our relationship," he explained to The Sun.

Despite this, a representative for Rachel said: "This is a completely false story, the below interview is absolute lies, and this did absolutely not happen."
