Rylan Clark opens up on 'toughest year of his life'

Rylan Clarke has announced his new autobiography, Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, will document the "toughest year" of his life.

Following the success of his previous bestselling book, Ten is said to cover the 33-year-old's life since he appeared on the X Factor a decade ago. Touching on career highlights such as winning Celebrity Big Brother and hosting multiple ITV morning shows, it will also include more difficult times, including his drastic weight loss.

Sharing the news to Instagram, the former This Morning host said: "Wow. All the emotions. This book celebrates ten years of me being in this crazy industry. We all know I should have lasted ten minutes, so how I’ve lasted ten years, I’ll never know. Learned so many lessons, especially in the last year but it’s been a journey, and I can’t wait to share it with you very soon."

The tell-all book will also delve into the It Takes Two's host's recent divorce from police officer Dan Neal. Speaking at the time, Rylan said: “I have made a number of mistakes which I deeply regret and have inevitably led to the breakdown of our marriage. I have taken time away from work as I am not in a good place at the moment and am seeking help.”

Fans congratulated Rylan's latest release, saying they were "excited" and they "can't wait to read it." Posting to Instagram Stories, he thanked his fans for all of their good wishes, stating how appreciative he is for his career despite the fact he "should've only lasted ten minutes."

He said: "How I've made ten years I'll never know but it'll all be in that book. I've learned so many lessons along the way, none more so than the past year and I can't wait for you to read it." Rylan's new book, Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, will be available 29 September.
