Rylan Clark waves goodbye to turbulent year

Rylan Clark has 'taken out the trash' as he waved goodbye to a turbulent year.

The popular TV personality had an eventful year in 2021, with a break from both his career and social media following a painful split from long-term partner Dan Neal.

Feeling glad to see the back of the year, Rylan shared his thoughts with his fans and followers.

The 33-year-old took to Twitter on New Years Eve to bid farewell to the year.

Rylan wrote: "2021, off you go dear" as well as sharing a gif of a man slinging some rubbish into the bin.

His fans sent messages of support and well wishes for the New Year ahead as replies to his tweet.

One user said: "2022 is going to be better, Rylan. You’ve got this."

Hellie said: "Love this!! Happy New Year gorgeous man x"

David said: "Right on Buddy, onwards and upwards."

His fans were also supportive when Rylan felt he needed to take a break earlier in the year, after the end of his long relationship with former police officer Dan Neal.

Not long after the breakup, the former X-Factor contestant said that he was "in a bad place" and that he was "seeking help."

He pulled out of a number of radio and TV appearances, and stopped posting on social media for some time after the split.

However, he seems to be happier now with recent celebrations for his 33rd birthday.

He also got rid of his veneers which he had had for eight years, and replaced his smile with a more natural look.
