Rylan Clark-Neal admits he re-watches his X Factor film to keep himself grounded

Rylan Clark-Neal re-watches his car crash X Factor “moment” to keep a grasp on reality.

The former talent show star has work booked for three years.

He will host Supermarket Sweep for ITV2, front BBC’s Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two and do his radio slot.

The 30-year-old admits he is shocked by how well his career is going, saying: “I mean, I’m an X Factor reject presenting on Radio 2, what’s going on?”

But Clark-Neal, who burst into tears during the talent show in 2012, refuses to take success for granted.

Rylan presented Big Brother's Little Brother and is enjoying enormous success - but likes to stay grounded (Channel 5)

He told TV Times: “Once a year, I make myself watch that Judges’ Houses moment from X Factor. I hate it, and it will haunt me forever.

“But watching that keeps me grounded. I say, ‘This is what you wanted, you’ve got it, now use it’.”

Rylan is joining BBC Radio 2's  Zoe Ball  to present the Strictly spin-off It Takes Two .

In a new  Instagram  video, the 30 year-old dons his best tux and heads out to meet the stars of  Strictly's new series, which starts Saturday September 7.

"Do you know what, I haven't worn a dress since 1922," laughs broadcasting veteran Anneka Rice into Rylan's microphone.

Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing says: "When else can I wear sparkles? That's the best thing about it."

Rylan scoffs and replies: "Whenever you want. You do realise who you're talking to, don't you?"

Jamie laments: "I look like a diamond has sneezed on me!"

Rylan rolls his eyes and says to the camera: "Of course it would be a diamond, he's that posh."

The full interview with Rylan is in the new issue of TV Times, out now.
