Ryder Cup betting update: USA long odds-on to win Ryder Cup after opening day romp

The USA are 1/10 to win the 2021 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits after building up their biggest ever opening-day lead. Steve Stricker's side won both of Friday's sessions 3-1, taking a 6-2 lead into into Saturday's foursomes.

The USA were 2/1 favourites before a ball had been struck on Friday but the hosts are now as short as 1/10 to lift the trophy on Sunday, with Europe out to a huge 9/1.

Europe really need world number one Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia to get them off to a good start on Saturday if they are going to work their way back into contention. The pair kick Saturday's foursomes off at 1.05pm against Brooks Koepka and Daniel Berger.

Grosvenor Sport have boosted the odds on both USA and Europe to win day two of the Ryder Cup. Europe can be backed at 13/8 to win day two, while the USA are 4/5.

USA are 21/20 to increase their lead in Saturday's foursomes, while Europe are 37/20 to reduce the hosts' lead going into the second session four balls.
