Ryan Sessegnon's first words after completing Tottenham move from Fulham

Mauricio Pochettino finally has his man after Ryan Sessegnon completed his move to Spurs from Fulham.

The 19-year-old has been linked with a move to north London for quite a while now and it has taken until the final hours of the summer transfer window for the move to go through.

While Fulham were keen to keep him at Craven Cottage as they look for an instant return to the top flight, the fact the player was in the final year of his contract made things tricky for the Championship side.

Sessegnon has now signed a long-term contract at the club and he joins Tanguy Ndombele, Jack Clarke and Giovani Lo Celso in moving to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.

Speaking on his announcement video on the club's Twitter page , he said: "I can't wait to get started at Spurs.

"They're a young team, exciting team on the up.

"This is the place to be."

The deal Sessegnon has penned will see him stay in N17 until the end of the 2024/25 season and he will wear the No.19 shirt during his time at the club.

The youngster's move to Spurs has seen Josh Onomah head in the opposite direction to Craven Cottage.

The midfielder had spent the past two seasons on loan at Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday with opportunities extremely limited under Pochettino in the capital.
