Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have added a Formula One team to their growing list of sporting interests.
The duo, who have pumped in more than £10million into the north Wales club to help them back into the Football League after a 15-year absence, have invested in Alpine Racing to boost their increasing sporting portfolio.
Reynolds and McElhenney are part of a $200million (£157million) investment in the team who are currently fifth in the constructors' championship. Their cash injection represents a 24 per cent stake.

More Hollywood stardust is involved, with fellow actor Michael B. Jordan, star of the Creed movie franchise who also has a stake in Premier League side Bournemouth, also among the investors. Reynolds' Maximum Effort production company has teamed up with Otro Capital and RedBird Capital Partners as part of the new venture.
Reynolds and McElhenney, worth a reported £125million and £50million respectively, have a number of other business ventures between them,
Aside from purchasing Wrexham, Reynolds started his own production company in 2018 before acquiring stakes in Aviation American Gin and Mint Mobile. Following his success in Wales, he confirmed in November that he was interested in purchasing ownership of the Ottawa Senators hockey club but admitted he needed "a partner with really deep pockets" to complete the deal.
McElhenney last year announced the launch of a new entertainment-tech company named Adim, co-founded by himself and others.
The pair have now got involved in the motorsports world and the news was announced by Alpine's parent company Renault, and James Toney, co-founder of Maximum Effort Investments with Reynolds, said on renaultgroup.com: "Maximum Effort Investments focuses on unlocking value through the power of storytelling, and we believe there is tremendous untapped potential in Alpine Racing.

Since the Renault team was rebranded as Alpine in 2021, they have managed one victory and three podium finishes, with Esteban Ocon coming third in Monaco this season.
Ocon currently sits ninth in the drivers' championship, with his team-mate Pierre Gasly one place further back.
