Mark Wilson claims Ligue 1 side Nice are set to bid over £10million for Ryan Christie.
He insists the Celtic star has been on boss Patrick Vieira's radar for "quite a while".
Former Parkhead defender Wilson revealed he expects the French outfit to make their move in the January transfer window.
Christie scored a long-range stunner to set Celtic on course for a Scottish Cup semi-final victory over Aberdeen on Sunday and it's claimed Vieira may well have been watching on.
Wilson told The Celtic Huddle podcast: "Top French side Nice want to sign Christie, and are prepared to bid in excess of £10million in January.
"For somebody that's played in Europe and went from Celtic to the continent, he's the kind of player you could see fitting into that European style of football.
"Patrick Vieira, Nice's manager... I hear they've been keeping tabs on him for quite a while now."
As revealed by Record Sport in September, Christie is also a long-term target for Premier League side Burnley.
