A Rutherglen schoolgirl has been hailed as a "role model" for other youngsters in the area, for her perfect attendance record during seven years of primary education.
Grace Sharkey, who attended Cathkin Primary in Rutherglen, last week completed her time at the school without a single absence.
The youngster will move to secondary school after the summer and attend Cathkin High.
Proud mum Louise Simpson praised the Cathkin staff for helping her daughter to enjoy her time at school so much.
She said: "We are delighted that Grace was recognised for this as she has attended school every day since starting P1.
"She loves school and that is down to the teachers and staff and I am sure she will do the same at Cathkin High. We are all very proud of her."
Grace is the first pupil in the history of the school not to have missed a day in class.
Depute head, Lee-Anne Harper, hailed Grace for being a credit to the school.
She told Lanarkshire Live: " We are very proud of Grace, who has been an excellent pupil, role model and ambassador for Cathkin Primary School.
"She has maintained 100 per cent attendance from her first day in Primary 1 to her last day in Primary 7, which is such an incredible achievement.
"Grace has accomplished this through tremendous effort, great courage and incredible drive and we wish her every success as she moves on to high school."
For her perfect attendance record, Grace was presented with an award by the school, and a certificate of achievement from Anne Donaldson, the head of education at South Lanarkshire Council.
