Ruth Langsford in tears on This Morning in tribute to Caroline Flack

This Morning host Ruth Langford was in tears during a discussion about mental health in the wake of Caroline Flack's death by suicide.

Speaking with actress Nicola Thorp, who admitted to her own mental health struggles in the past, both Ruth and Nicola were overcome with emotion.

They discussed mental health and Nicola said: "Suicide isn't always a long drawn out process" and said sometimes people feel that it is their final option but stressed "suicide is not a choice".

In tears, Ruth had to stand up and get a tissue.

Former Love Island host Caroline Flack, who was just 40, was found dead in her flat by her father on February 15.

Fans of the popular morning show took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the emotional segment.
