Ruth Jones has dashed fan hopes that she and James Corden would pen more Gavin & Stacey episodes.
The Welsh actress told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on This Morning that there aren't any plans to write any more, after last year's Christmas special left us on a major cliffhanger.
Ruth's Nessa had just popped the question to James' Smithy, and the credits aired before we got an answer.
And despite demands for answers from fans, Rut confirmed today that there "aren't any plans to write more Gavin & Stacey."
This announcement comes despite the BBC's recent insistence that the hit comedy will make a comeback "one day."

The corporation remained vague on when - if ever - it will return.
Chief Content Officer Charlotte Moore said that while a 2020 episode was never on the cards, it could make a comeback further down the line.
One fan theory claims that the show will return in a decade's time, and look at how Joanna Page's Stacey and Matthew Horne's Gavin are getting on with parenting old kids.

The original series drew to a close in 2009, after three series, returning 10 years later with the Christmas special.
Ruth was chatting to Eamonn and Ruth about her new book, having carved out a career as a best-selling novelist.
James, meanwhile, has made the leap across the pond, fronting The Late Late Show With James Corden, in which he welcomes an array of celeb guests.

Oscar Hartland, who plays Nessa and Smithy's son Neil, told on Good Morning Britain recently that he'd definitely be up for a return.
"I did ask James in the process of filming," the child star revealed, "He said it's just what the people want.
"Me, I would love it to happen. It really depends what other people think about it and whether they like it or not."
