Russell Wilson earned worst PFF grade of his career vs. Rams on Tuesday

Russell Wilson has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL for the last decade. He’s a player defenders hate facing, given his elusiveness and creativity when a play breaks down.

The Rams don’t seem to have much trouble with the seven-time Pro Bowl quarterback, though. They’ve had his number for the last five years, especially in the last three seasons dating back to 2019.

That was very evident again on Tuesday night when the Rams held Wilson to 156 passing yards, zero touchdowns and one interception, which amounted to a passer rating of 55.3 He completed only 17 of his 31 passes and never looked comfortable in the pocket.

The loss wasn’t entirely on Wilson, but he did nothing to help his team. In fact, he put together his worst performance as a pro, according to Pro Football Focus. He was given a grade of 33.6, the lowest of his NFL career.

It’s been a rough season for Wilson and the Seahawks, ranking 24th in points scored and 30th in total yards. But they were even worse than usual on Tuesday night, gaining only 214 yards and putting up 10 points in the loss.

The Rams broke up six of his passes, hit him six times and sacked him three times, constantly pressuring him in the pocket. His lone interception was a last-ditch effort to score a touchdown late, but he had two total turnover-worthy plays and struggled to see the field well.

In his last six games against the Rams, Wilson only has four touchdown passes, six interceptions and has completed 57.7% of his passes. They’ve held him to 200 yards per game and have sacked him a whopping 26 times, Needless to say, the Rams aren’t his favorite opponent.
