Russell Martin provides Rangers transfer update after friendly draw

Russell Martin says that Rangers have transfer interest in a 'fair few' players after a 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough in a friendly this afternoon.

Goals from Neto Borges and Dael Fry had the visitors ahead at the break, although Martin's men rallied in the second 45, and thanks to goals from Danilo and Findlay Curtis, they escaped defeat.

Robin Propper's move to Dutch outfit FC Twente was confirmed earlier this weekend, and Martin was asked after today's friendly whether more players will follow him out of the departure door.

He said: "I think we have interest in a fair few of the players, but as and when they go, I don't know.

"I just wait for Kevin [Thelwell] to tell me what's going on. And yeah, whilst they're here, they'll be treated with care and respect and professionalism.

"And it might not always be on the terms they want or like, but I think if we're honest with each other and we respect each other and they respect the group, there's not going to be a problem."

Rangers are back in action this Wednesday, when they travel to face Panathinaikos in the return leg of their second-round Champions League qualifier.

They hold a 2-0 aggregate lead.
