Rush hour delays at Clyde Tunnel due to broken down vehicle

A broken-down car is blocking the Clyde Tunnel this morning.

The Southbound Bore has been reduced to one lane, causing traffic build up this rush hour.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area if possible.

The Council's Traffic Control and Management Team (TRAFFCOM) advised: "The Southbound Bore of the A739 Clyde Tunnel has been reduced to one lane, this is due to a broken down vehicle.  The lane closure will remain in place until the vehicle is recovered.

"Road users should expect delays and avoid the area if possible.

"Further bulletins will be issued when more information becomes available."
