Rumours of Coronation Street stars' real-life romance grow after birthday selfie

Rumours that Coronation Street stars Georgia Taylor and Charlie de Melo are in a relationship have grown after they shared a selfie in Scotland. The pair play on-screen couple Toya Battersby and Imran Habeeb but some fans think they may be a couple away from the set too.

The rumours that the duo were dating first began when they posted a picture of themselves on Instagram at the theatre together in February, according to The Mirror. But Georgia, 43, has now shared another snap of the two of them together, this time at the top of Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh.

Georgia, wrapped up in a woolly hat and scarf, posed with Charlie at the top of the hill for the picture. In the post, she wrote: "Birthday treat up Arthur's seat."

The Instagram post can be viewed below. It contains one picture of Georgia's feet at the top of Arthur's Seat and another second picture of her with Charlie.

The actress is reported to have split up with Mark Letheren - her partner of 14 years - in 2022. She is thought to have grown close to Charlie, sparking the belief that the two may be a couple.

Mark hinted at his and Georgia's breakup in an emotional post on social media. The Instagram post read: “It’s been the worst year after a number of increasingly s**t years. My life finally fell apart.

“Thankfully, I’m incredibly lucky and have a family who have picked up the pieces and are trying to help me re-build myself. It’s thanks to them I’m still here and trying to move forward. For that, I am truly grateful.

“Whatever the new year brings I hope that strength, humility, joy and love are in abundance for you all.”
