RTE viewers all saying the same thing as they slate Mrs Brown's Boys Halloween special

RTE viewers were all saying the same thing after the Mrs Brown's Boys Halloween special.

The show burst back onto viewers screens on Friday night, cutting the nine o'clock news short and delaying the beginning of The Late Late Show.

However, many viewers weren't too happy about having their Friday night plans interrupted by the show.

The one-off episode was created to mark the show's ten year anniversary, and although some fans were delighted to watch Brendan O'Carroll's comedy show, many felt the special fell flat.

The episode was filmed in front of a live studio audience in Scotland and saw Agnes Brown haunted by her dead husband, Redser Brown, but unfortunately, the storyline didn't seem to resonate with many viewers.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "The two specials at Christmas and new year, will be completely different to this live show.

"Something was missing tonight. Even Mrs Brown stuttered over her lines at the beginning, which showed the nerves, and unfortunately things didn't really improve."

Another wrote: "Can't believe how many people on #Facebook and #Twitter are slating how bad #MrsBrownsBoys #Live was, I can't blame them it was terrible, for a Live Show in thought it was gunna be a way better.

"I'm sorry was well disappointed".

However, not everyone was disappointed by the show as some still found it to be as funny as ever.

One fan wrote: "Just watched this and it was absolutely fantastic… brilliant really brilliant".

Another said: "#mrsbrownsboys enjoyed it tonight well done for coming through lockdown and putting this on it couldn't have been easy".

While others seemed more distracted by Mrs Brown's eldest grandchild Bono, played by Brendan's real-life grandson Jamie O'Carroll as they remarked how grown up he has gotten.

Although Bono has appeared sporadically through the series, people were left shocked to find the young Bono they once saw on screens was now 15.

Taking to Twitter, they wrote: "What the f*** has happened Bono! #MrsBrownsBoys".

Another said: "Are we not going to talk about that Bono is a f****** giant now?! #mrsbrownsboys".
