RTE presenter Eavanne Ni Chuilinn 'disappointed' after being refused entry to Dicey's for having no ID

RTE presenter Evanne Ni Chuilinn was left "disappointed" after she was refused entry to a popular Dublin pub because she had no ID.

The Kilkenny woman, who is in her late 30s, tried to head into Dicey's Garden with her sister but the bouncers wouldn't let her in when she couldn't produce any ID.

She later tweeted the Harcourt Street venue to ask if requesting ID was a "new policy".

She said: "Just been refused entry for a quiet drink with my sister because she had ID but I don’t. Bouncer was disappointingly passive aggressive too.

"We’ll find a tipple elsewhere but just wondering, is this a new policy?"

But while Evanne may have been turned away from her first choice of watering hole, former Dublin GAA star Eamon Fennell was quick to spot an opportunity.

The ex-DJ opened Camden Street bar Huck's with former teammates Michael Darragh MacAuley and Ross McConnell late last year and he invited Ni Chuilinn to pop around the corner for a drink or two.

And while she turned down the All-Ireland winner's kind offer, she did promise she would visit "next time".
