Roy Keane explains why Manchester United will return to the top before Arsenal

Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane believes his old club will return to top before Arsenal due to their financial power.

Both sides have struggled in recent seasons, with neither managing to qualify for the Champions League last season.

It is a far cry from when Keane was skippering the Old Trafford club, with the two being the two best sides in England's top-flight for a sustained 10 year period.

But Keane believes United can return to the summit as they have the money available to purchase the top talent.

"I would probably have to say United," the former Republic of Ireland international replied when asked on Sky Sports ahead of the clash at Old Trafford.

"I just think United are always capable of going out and spending more money than Arsenal.

"Obviously if things aren't going well over the next few months, I think Ole has mentioned already they are looking for a striker, they are obviously short of one.

"Whether they can get a top one in January is another question. But I think United have got more money I suppose to go out and try and get better players."
