Ross Wilson outlines Rangers plan for 'sustained success' as he revels in 55 glory

Ross Wilson has stressed the long term plan for Rangers beyond title number 55 and it’s all about sustained success.

The director of football joined the coaching staff and players at their Auchenhowie training base as they celebrated being crowned Scottish Premiership champions for the first time in a decade.

Wilson has been an integral part of getting to this point since coming in as director of football in October 2019.

But it’s the like mindedness of the coaches and board members he works so closely with that has been key in seeing the Ibrox side finally wrestle the title from Celtic’s grasp.

He told Rangers TV: “The personality of Steven, the personality of Gary McAllister, Michael Beale, Tom Culshaw, Colin Stewart and everyone of those coches in there matches mine, matches the board’s.

“We want to make this club sustainably successful on an ongoing basis. We know how important title number 55 was to this club. We’re delighted that that’s been delivered today but it’s all about us being successful moving forward, all the time.

“I’m just so happy for these players and to see how happy they are and how connected they are to this club. We’ve got a group of staff and a group of players that genuinely love being part of what we’re building here at Rangers.

“To see that joy on their face today is certainly something that I’ll never forget and I’m so proud of every player in that group.”
