Rosie Ramsey 'struggles' with lyrics ahead of Ladies Day performance in Newcastle

Rosie Ramsey confessed she was struggling with song lyrics ahead of her star turn at Ladies Day in Newcastle on Saturday.

Two years ago it was announced that Pussycat Dolls would be the headline act after the last horse had finished at Newcastle Racecourse, but then Covid happened and the American group's reunion hit the skids. After restrictions lifted and plans for this year's event kicked into gear, The Wanted were revealed as the act who'd take the stage after the racing action had ended but then Tom Parker died after his battle with brain cancer and the group confirmed they wouldn't be performing as a result.

It was after that news that the Racecourse confirmed that Rosie, who hosts hugely success podcast Sh**ged, Married, Annoyed with husband Chris, would be entertaining race goers after they'd placed all their bets, with the South Shields star being the master of ceremonies for a huge Massaoke singalong spectacular

Given her and Chris' popularity, many ticket holders were delighted with the news but, the night before she was due to take the stage, Rosie took to Instagram to reveal that she was finding remembering the lyrics to songs on the setlist a bit of a problem. Filming herself singing This is Me from The Greatest Showman, Rosie captioned the video: "Singer with the worst memory tries to learn lyrics for a singing gig," as she stumbled on a few of the lines.

Offering her some reassurance, one of Rosie's many followers responded: "You have a fantastic voice - who cares what the words are," with another commenting: "I can’t wait, a group of us are coming for my 30th! We can’t wait to sing and dance!"
