Rory Best to play one final game next month

Ireland and Ulster fans will get one final chance to see Rory Best in action next month when he lines out for Barbarians.

The 37-year-old announced some time ago that he'd be hanging up the boots for good after the Rugby World Cup, and Ireland's 46-14 thumping at the hands of New Zealand two weeks ago.

But the hooker's career will have a brief encore next month at Twickenham as he's set to play for the Barbarians in their November 16 tie with Fiji.

Ulster fans will note that the clash is scheduled for the same day as their Heineken Cup tie against Bath - with that game getting underway at 1 pm and the Barbarians' kick-off set for 2:30.

It's not clear whether Best will also line out for Barbarians' fixtures against Brazil and Wales later next month.
