Ron Rivera to receive final cancer treatment next week; happy with progress

One of the main stories that has underlined this 2020 season for the Washington Football Team has been the health of head coach Ron Rivera, who was diagnosed with lymph node cancer before the season started. For the past couple of months, Rivera has been receiving chemotherapy treatment and battling through recovery while still trying to coach this team.

On Monday, though, Rivera said that he will receive his final treatment. There will be follow-ups to come afterwards, but he will no longer be receiving chemotherapy. At long last, he can start getting his life back to a semblance of normalcy.

It goes without saying that Rivera’s strength and courage has been remarkable over the past couple of months, and his ability to lead the team while also undergoing treatment is incredible. It is also encouraging to see the people around him step up and help out when he needs it the most, and he’s mentioned numerous times that it’s not without those close to him that he’s able to succeed.

We are wishing all of the best for coach Rivera, and are happy that he is making progress through this all.
