Romelu Lukaku sent a message to his Chelsea teammates ahead of this afternoon’s clash with Norwich City.
The Blues were taking on the Canaries at Stamford Bridge on Saturday aiming to build on their 4-0 thumping of Malmo in mid-week.
One man that they were set to be without though was Lukaku after he sustained an injury in the process of winning a penalty against the Swedish champions.
Out of the line-up alongside fellow forward Timo Werner, who also sustained a knock in the week, the Belgian took to Twitter to send a message to his teammates ahead of kick-off in west London by writing ‘Let’s go’.
It remains to be seen when Lukaku and Werner will be able to return to action for the Blues following the injury.
They have already been ruled out of the Norwich clash of course, with their participation against Southampton next weekend also in serious doubt also.
Talking in his pre-match press conference, Thomas Tuchel said: "To make the question a longer one, how is Pulisic too? They are all out tomorrow and probably the Southampton game and then we will see.
"What I can tell you for sure is they are both in treatment, positive and not worried but out of the next two games for sure.
"I don't think it makes sense to go into speculation about how long [the players will be sidelined for] because you never know. Things can be shorter than expected or longer than expected.
"Both are feeling positive and not too worried."
Chelsea certainly did not miss the pair as they faced up to Daniel Farke’s men. Early goals from Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James put the Blues in firm control of the game before half-time.
