Romelu Lukaku's agent delivers shock verdict on Chelsea exit just four months after transfer

Romelu Lukaku's agent Federico Pastorello has confirmed that his client will one day leave Chelsea and return to Serie A.

Lukaku joined from Inter Milan for a club-record £98million back in August - having left Stamford Bridge for Everton back in 2014 after struggling for minutes under former manager Jose Mourinho's stewardship.

The Belgian international's return to the club has been somewhat of a rollercoaster, struggling with a couple of injury problems that have limited him to just 11 starts across all competitions this season.

Lukaku has still provided five goals for the Blues and will hope he can stay fit for the next few weeks and score his first Premier League goal since September - when Chelsea defeated Aston Villa 3-0.

However, Pastorello has claimed that the 28-year-old could return to Serie A in the coming years, stating that his client loves Italy.

Speaking to Italian newspaper Tuttosport, he said: "One day we will see Lukaku back in Serie A.

"Lukaku loves Italy. But right now it's up to Chelsea to take advantage of Romelu's qualities."

Lukaku enjoyed a fruitful time with Inter, notching a whopping 64 goals and 16 assists in 95 games - firing the Nerazzurri to their first league title since 2010.

The former Everton frontman will be hoping to fire Chelsea to all three points this weekend as they welcome Leeds United to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
